Went back to Champaign for a photo shoot. I needed to take a picture of Alison’s kid Charlie for the children’s book that I am writing. It was nice to see her for the brief time that we had together. I think that I got a good photo out of it so that was nice.
Virginia came back to Chicago with me. I gave her my van because I can’t keep it here in the city anymore. She drove it back tonight. I am now car-less in the city. I have spent a large portion of time of my life without cars, and I think that I prefer it. There are some things that are more difficult, but the public transportation is pretty good, so I think that I can get by. I’ll save money on insurance and gas also. It might wind up costing more for food and transportation, but I think that I’ll still be saving in the long run.
While Virginia was up here we went to see the main stage show at Second City. It was a fun show. They are working on new material now so it was interesting to see their process in action. I think that I still like written sketch better, but I like the idea of creating with improv. They each have their pluses.
Tomorrow I have to get back on track with my other projects. I have so much stuff to do and so little time to do it.
