After my show today, I went and saw an improv show at the Cornservatory. Jackie Stone, my improv teacher, is one of the founding members of the group, Sirens. They have been working together for 10 years or so, and it really shows. They are amazing together. This was truly great improv. It is good to see how if should be done.
After the show, Jackie invited us out to drink with the performers at the local bar. We had some great conversations. It was a beautiful night outside, good company, and a really good pulled pork sandwich. I walked for a while after and just enjoyed the night air.
It turned out to be one of the best days of my life. Second City graduation show, Corcoran’s burger with the group, great improv, good conversation, and a nice walk home. Wow. The last few days have just been great. I am trying to start a chain of good days. I am not talking about days that nothing bad goes wrong, but days that are actually filled with joy of life. Days where I am advancing, doing something new, creating, moving, creating memorable days. I had a time last year where everything was going great. Days that I will always remember. I want to get back to that feeling and am working on creating a chain of them. So far it has been three in a row. Let’s try for four tomorrow!!
