What do you bring?

I have done a lot of reflective thinking this week. Not really what I wanted to be doing, because this was supposed to be a time of action. I guess that you can’t control everything. Sometime you just need to go with the flow.

The first thought that I have is that life is about relationships. Not just the love and marriage type, but all relationships. Friends, family, roommates, classmates, co-workers, your community, and the rest of the world. Your whole life is defined by how you interact with other people. We are an inherently social people. I have to keep that in mind a little more in life.

What really matters is what do you bring to these relationships. I have been thinking about what I bring to relationships that I have, and what others bring to their relationships with me. Problems always come about when there is an imbalance in this relationship. Remember that you have an obligation to bring something to your relationships. People have asked me lately why they don’t have the relationships that they want, and I look at them and see that they don’t bring much to the ticket. They need to bring something. I need to bring something.
